Mapsalud is a Lima-based corporate occupational health SaaS, part of Wayra’s portfolio, that built a whole ecosystem around occupational health, labor insurance, and health-related HR management systems. They are the number 1 player, with most of the top corporations being their clients and pushing the boundaries of the ecosystem by developing new products and business models (insurance recommendations, efficient and tailored quoting and underwriting, ecc).

Challenges & Needs

Mapsalud was saturating their domestic market in Peru and was looking to expand in the LATAM region, but were lacking the understanding of the competitive landscape, market sizes and accessibility of each of the 15 countries. They also wanted to understand with which channels and funnels to validate the new markets and decide if they could invest in those markets long-term, any even fundraise to achieve those growth targets.

Solutions & Impact

We partnered up with their team and delivered growth consulting to solve the issues at hand, by initially doing market research, like competitive landscape, the relative market size, and corporate structures. Afterwards we created specific funnels and “minimum valuable tactics” to validate the internationalization efforts in 4 countries in LATAM (Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico) in which we finally reached a 7-figure lead pipeline with top-notch corporations.. We also helped create a semi-automated and completely engineered growth system and funnels, with which Mapsalud can keep executing their growth operations.
