Based on a master thesis from Gleb Mikulich at Aalborg University (Denmark) we developed this Report on the Digital Transformation in the Consumer Goods Industry specifically.
The tendency of businesses to adapt to the digital environment and make organizational processes more efficient and data-driven is called Digital Transformation. Companies are, in fact, adopting new tools and technologies, as well as automating their processes.
Mobile technologies and social media connect companies and their consumers allow the acquisition of brand new information to create insights for better products or business models. Accurate predictions based on analyzed information can be created and used for business optimization. In short, digitally transformed business excellently exploits the potential of new technologies to focus on the most valuable customers and efficiently align processes, data and IT.
